Private Health Insurance
Private Health insurance will cover most of the surgical fees, depending on your insurer and your particular insurance policy. As policies vary, it is important to check with your health insurer that you have appropriate cover when booking surgery.
A written quote that includes the relevant Medicare item numbers and estimate of surgical fees will be provided. Your anaesthetist will usually provide a written quote prior to surgery.
Out of pocket expenses (gap cover)
Dr Boyne’s fees are generally well below those recommended by the AMA. Out of pocket fees will be discussed at the time of booking and will vary depending on the type and complexity of surgery required.
Medicare
Medicare rebates will cover some but not all of the cost of consultations. Details of costs will vary and will be discussed on an individualised basis.
